“The beauty of dog training is in the details.”

Throughout my previous career in pharmaceutical sales, I always liked what I did. The problem was, I did not LOVE my career. In 2018, while I was in pharmaceuticals my wife started to get involved in dog grooming at a dog training facility. This is the same place Emily and Jen crossed paths. I started to spend some time helping with grooming and training dogs occasionally on the weekends. My number one priority at that time was to support my wife as she built her career.

Fast forward to 2020, my wife and Emily crossed paths again. My goal continued to be in a supportive role while staying in pharmaceutical sales. On February 1st, 2021 I received a phone call that my sister, at a young age, passed away. This was the bittersweet motivation needed to hang up the sales career, call Emily, and dive head first into dog training.

There is no looking back and zero regrets. We are making a difference in the lives of people through our service dog program and obedience training programs. We have built strong and incredible relationships with some second to none organizations that entrust us with the mission to help people through what we do. We are a team that is never satisfied, constantly going to seminars, and always collaborating with each other and others in our field to find a better way.

There are so many things I love about dog training. If I can leave someone reading this with one thought; it is to realize that beyond the visible behaviors that result from training, the most important piece of dog training at all moments is the DOG’S MIND. We are training the mind.
